"The Batman 2022" Movie Review
The Batman 2022
The Batman expectations
Batman (Robert Pattinson) must look into Gotham City's underground to find The Riddler two years after his appearance (Paul Dano).
Pattinson not only performs admirably as Batman, but also outperforms other actors who have played the superhero in terms of acting ability. Even though previous actors have done a better job of playing Bruce Wayne, this iteration of Batman is still a work in progress, so the billionaire's melancholy demeanor makes sense.
Colin Farrell, who plays the Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot and serves as a fantastic portrayal of the murky past of Gotham's criminal underworld while also subtly drawing comparisons to Batman in the coming-of-age theme, is another character who stands out in The Batman. Every time she appears on screen, Zo Kravitz complements Pattinson's Batman as Catwoman/Selina Kyle.
In Gotham, The city is seen in The Batman at its darkest and most impoverished light ever. The city is so absurdly overrun with criminals that it makes more sense for a superhero like Batman to even exist there.
There are action scenes in the movie that strongly resemble the combat in the Arkham series of video games, and there are scenes that, when paired with the cinematography and Michael Giacchino's musical score, are just pure perfection.
Overall review for The Batman movie
The Batman is really incredible. It doesn't match Nolan's The Dark Knight, but it is a movie that really gets what the Batman character means to the citizens of Gotham and the villains who live there. With the possibility of a sequel, viewers should eagerly anticipate how Robert Pattinson's character will go and which other villain from the caped crusader's Rogues Gallery will be facing off against the Bat on the big screen.
